Heel needs padding

These looked to be good quality shoes and the positive reviews certainly suggested so, but after receiving these shoes and trying them on what immediately became clear is that unlike the photos of this product there is no padding to the incredibly cheap and stamped-out heel. it's sharp, thin, and within 4 hours was wearing blisters into my foot. Gauze pads and foam added to the heel and it's still too painful to wear for more than a couple hours at a time. Maybe they'll break in properly with time, but I'm not sure I've the patience to put up with the pain for that long. Will either send them back or pitch them in the bin. The rest of the shoe seems to be of decent fit and quality, but when you're flinching with each step it's hard to fully assess the other aspects of the shoe.

Leather Peeling

Loved this shoe in black so ordered the brown as well. It seems the brown has a coating on the leather. They are peeling badly. Makes me wonder if they are a true leather?

Ok pair for 25$ + tax, but that is its worth.
Made in China of a very thin, stiff mix of pleather and leather. Sole glued, not stitched.
Typical cheap quality of today's Docker shoes.
Will wear only for a few hours a couple of days a month, so ok for that.

Buyer beware. I have an older pair of these shoes that are all leather. However, these are not. The uppers are a leather/man made mix. I would not have ordered them if I'd known. Bullet point is incorrect.

Too Tight and Too loose

One shoe fits tight across the top of foot. Other shoe rubs up and down on the heel. It's like they are two different size shoes but, the shoes are labeled with the same size inside.

Great shoe except for one painful thing....

When I opened the box, right away I really liked the way this shoe looks. It's very well made, the color is rich and it looks like a shoe that would be far more expensive than it is.

When I tried them on, they fit very well and I was impressed with how comfortable they were (on the bottom of the shoe) to stand on.

However, that is where the "good" part ends. If you notice from the picture of the shoe, there is a seem that runs across the top of the shoe just under the shoe string. That seem causes a lot of pain on the top of your foot when you walk. If you simply stand still, not walking, they are fine, however once you walk in them the seem is so ridged that there is no give and it doesn't take long for them to start hurting. I've worn them three times to work and even started to notice how uncomfortable they are even when I was sitting at my desk.

I really wanted to love these shoes, from an appearance point of view they are great, but I would not purchase them again because they are just too uncomfortable to wear. As I mentioned they are well made, perhaps too well made as the seem has no flexibility... at least for me.

So, if you decide to purchase them wear them around the house for a bit to see if you experience the same issue I did so if you need to, you can return them. If I hadn't worn them to work I would have returned them.

Quise darle una oportunidad a Dockers, es un calzado chino, no es cómodo, no es cuero es sintético, es de muy baja gama, por el precio vale la pena invertir en Florsheim o Cole Haan u otra marca de mayor gama

Quality and Consistency Declining

Have ordered about six pair of these in the past. They generally looked nice and were comfortable. The leather materials without padding are a major plus for those whose feet tend to be warm. The price is good, or was the first three times I purchased these. However, the heals have a "'weak" interior webbing and on the last two pairs the webbing wore out very fast (within six months each), leaving depressions that hurt one's feet. I debated whether to give these one more try. Similar leather shoes that fit - I must have wide shoes - were about twice as much so I decided to try one more pair. However, upon receipt and even though they are allegedly the same exact size, my tape measurements from the same spots on the most recent two pairs showed the last pair was about 3/16 inch narrower and about 1/4 inch shorter, making them unwearable. If the shoes had a reliable heal (not the cheap webbing) and one could rely upon getting shoes that were of the same dimensions for a given size, these would be a fantastic bargain.

The shoes fit very uncomfortably around the ankle and heal. The material is very hard and stiff, with very little padding on the top around the ankle and none in the heal area. Just walking a small distance would cause multiple blisters. I remove the shoes as soon as I get to work and walk around the office in socks. I will wear sparingl, then return if the material does not soften over the next week. The shoes do look nice, and there is plenty of toe room. However, if you touch your toes to the top, it does feel like steel toe boots. It also took 11 days to get the shoes, 8 of which were business days.

Update after 3 days. The shoes have broken in a bit. They work fine for me sitting all day at a desk. I would not recommend for someone that walks a great deal due to no padding in the heals.

Update after 15 months. The sole has broken apart (cracked and chunks came out of both shoes.) Probably wore 100-120 times in that time period, mostly sitting at a desk. Very little walking with the shoes.

Cheap imitation.

I have ordered several of these pairs of shoes from Zappos for my son. They have been great shoes. These that I ordered from Amazon seemed like a cheap imitation. The box, shoe inserts and Dockers emblem on the bottom were not the same as the ones from Zappos. The brown color did not match the other shoes either. The brown color was not consistent in the shoes. When my son tried on the shoes, the brown color faded where the shoe bent. Therefore, I think these are not the real deal. The Dockers from Zappos have been awesome shoes. I would give them a 5 stars. These 2 stars. They are the same price.
