Do not buy. Middle of sole leaks right in the middle. You will have wet feet when sidewalks are wet. These shoes are 2 weeks old. This is the 2nd pair to do this. I thought the 1st was a fluke. I do not think that anymore. Sole is either too thin and too soft. Ignore this shoe. I will for now on. 1st time shame on you ;
2nd time shame on me.

The paint that makes them look like they're leather started coming off about a month after buying them. I guess they decided to throw out their quality standards. These are the last pair of Dockers I will ever own.

I've been buying these for many, many years with no issues. Recently, I bought a pair and it started to flake on both shoes. I was disappointed and thought it was an anomaly so I bought a second pair and the same thing is happening. This starts to happen within a month and progressively gets worse. Are these Docker knock-offs or something? I'm afraid to buy another pair.

This is the 15th pair of these shoes that I bought for my husband. So we’ve been buying these for years. All the other pairs were great but this pair is stiff and cut weird. He has blisters. These are going to have to go in the trash and we will have to find a new shoe I guess.

I have been wearing the same Dockers shoes for over 15 years. I wear them daily to the office and all my business trips, so they get a lot of use. Each pair generally lasts about 1.5 - 2 years and I am very familiar with the overall comfort and break-in period of this style shoe. This is the first time I decided to buy my shoes on line rather than a local retailer. I can tell you with 100% certainty that these are NOT ACTUAL DOCKER SHOES! I started suspecting a problem when the break-in period lasted about 6 weeks rather than 1 week. As I started comparing them to my old pair of Dockers, you can easily tell the differences between them. Cosmetically they look similar, but the materials of construction are different. Specifically the toe of the shoe has a very stiff leather structure compared to real Dockers. The same for the heel. This is a major contributor to the extended break-in period. Now that I have worn them for about 3 months, they are slightly more comfortable than new, but still not the same as genuine Dockers. I am also noticing premature wear on the sole of the shoe as compared to my old shoes. In the end, I recommend buying them from a reputable dealer, not over the internet. Sadly for me, this is the second product in a row that I bought from Amazon where the product received was a knock-off so now I have to be wary of any purchase from them.

My experience with this product is similar to many other reviewers. The shoes looked good and fit acceptably, though somewhat narrow. Within about 6-8 weeks, the left heel had ripped apart and they were no longer wearable. The return window had already passed and I could not find any evidence of a guarantee. So the purchase price was wasted on a throw-away. If you were to judge by the quality of the shoes, a fair price would be about eight bucks...yard sale territory. Companies do this more and more: they charge premium prices for inferior products. In some cases, the price was originally higher because the product used to be higher quality. Then the company swaps out inferior (and often foreign-made, for what it's worth) goods and keeps the high price, so that they make a bigger profit. This unethical, immoral behavior hurts American consumers who are already gouged by excessive cellphone, car prices, Internet access, and so on. If you want to sell cheap shoes, fine, label them as such and charge an accurate price. What they are trying to sell this for makes absolutely no sense in terms of what you get in return. Dockers is abusing their own good name for short-term profiteering. Their sales will fall in the long run if they continue. I will not buy another pair of shoes from them, since they basically stole this money from me and gave me unusable junk. I bought a pair of Sketchers instead and donated these to the local charity bin, though they probably belonged in the dumpster.

Brutally Painful

These are the only pair of shoes that I've ever worn that are just too brutally painful to wear. I tried to tough it out for a few days, hoping that they would "break in", but the pain got so bad that I honestly considered just going barefoot in the winter on my walk to the parking garage after work and just leaving these things on the side of the road. That big line that sections off the toe from the rest of the shoe is rock hard. Every time you take a step, it presses down hard on your foot, causing pain that will only get worse the longer you wear them. (yes, they fit, I've had another pair of dockers in the same size before). I even tried to walk with both my foot pressed hard all the way to the front or rear of the shoe, but it didn't help. Also, the shoe is plasticy and does crease up bad at first, but after a day or two those creases return to normal color and don't look as bad. Overall, not a bad looking shoe for the money, just too painful. I had one other pair of dockers that quickly fell apart on the bottoms, I was willing to try another due to the price, thinking that if I got 4-6 months out of them I'd be happy, but will never buy another pair after this. I couldn't even return them because I threw out the box and don't have time to package them up and ship them back.

I have worn Docker's Gordon Cap Toe Oxfords for the better part of 8 years. I've purchased at least 8 pairs of these shoes, size 13M, always going back to them because of their comfort and business / office look. They are my go-to shoes for Vegas as they are dressy and comfortable. I am convinced that there is a manufacturing flaw in this most recent pair that I ordered. Same size as always, but the area of each top where the tongue comes out toward the lace area rubs the top of my foot in such a manner that I got severe blisters. I understand that shoes must have a break-in period, which in my case usually requires me to tape my heels for the first day or two. With this current pair my heels are fine, but I've had to tape the tops of my feet, especially the top and side of my 1st metatarsal. No matter how I tape my feet, or no matter how thick of a sock I wear, or how I try different lace patters these shoes rub to the point that they are not wearable. I think this particular pair has some sort of manufacturer's defect. Now I am stuck with a medium priced shoe that is worthless. I should have worn them inside my home for several days before stepping outside so I could have returned them. I probably will never buy these again after this terrible experience.

How much do these shoes suck? Let me tell you. I bought them in June. I am currently in DC on a business trip. Wanting to travel light, I only brought these shoes. Guess what? The heels are hollow. They have a small crack in the seem. I found out this morning while walking in a light rain. That small crack with hollow heels act like a big turkey baster sucking up rain water into the shoe. At first I hear a squishy sound, then I feel the water coming into the shoe. I make a beeline back to my hotel but it is about a mile away. It is real nice walking on the sidewalk next to people...squish....step...squish...step. They all look around to see what the hell the noise is. I am in my hotel room now with some hand towels packed into the shoe hoping to dry it out enough for my first meeting in three hours. I was thinking about buying some glue or something to fill in the crack the the hollow core of the shoe but I am afraid on my flight back the TSA will think I am some sort of "shoe bomber" and strip search me. ****TO ANY FEDERAL AGENCY MONITORING AMAZON REVIEWS....I AM NOT A TERRORIST....JUST AN UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER MAKING A LAME JOKE. Back to the shoes...Hey Dockers these shoes suck. Do something about it! Aside from sucking (literally) they are comfortable and fit well. They look good. But they still suck.
