I'm one of the many who ordered this after watching Sunday Brunch! So glad I did. Lots of lovely ideas that I can't wait to try, especially the Spicy "tuna" watermelon tostadas and the chocolate mousse! There are lots of colourful images through out the book and it's a nice size too, not too big. The book also guides you on all the pantry staples to invest in such as herbs/spices, canned goods and baking supplies. The recipies don't include expensive meat alternatives such a tofu, and instead makes use out of fresh fruits and vegetables. As someone who isn't vegan (pecesterian) this will really brighten up my meals and give me some new ideas too!
I bought this book as one of my best friends has recently become vegan and I honestly didn’t know what to cook for her other than tomato pasta. I have made so many recipes from this book all were delicious and super easy to make, the pizzas are fab, tostadas we’re a big hit, curries were fab, and currently cooking a courgette spiral tart which looks and smells divine
I bought this book to try and include more vegan meals into my family’s week without the need to get ingredients or things that would only be used once. It’s a real find - the cauliflower and mushroom bolognese is a cracker - my family loves a spag bol, the biggest compliment I can give to this book that one of my meat loving sons now prefers this recipe over the meat one. A gem of a book and one I turn to for crowd pleasing recipes that can be made with ingredients on my cupboards that won’t break the bank.
I bought already a few of Broke Vegan books to friends, it is so good. The batch cooking, food prep and using in different recipes is an absolute must when you want to be a Davy vegan! I work as a nutritional chef and have used at least several Broke Vegan recipes! Not only a time saver busy clever and delicious recipes! Hope there is more plant based books coming from Saskia Sidey🙏
