Libro precioso de principio a fin, magnífico diseño, muy buenas recetas, historias interesantes.
Un descubrimiento para mí esta escritora gastronómica. Tiene publicados mas libros y a por ellos voy rauda y veloz.
Está en inglés, una lástima que no lo hayan traducido a español.

This was my very first book I bought after joining the Great British Chefs bookclub and I absolutely love this book. I love it so much that it is in my top 5 cookbooks that I own. It is truly fantastic.

This lovely book is an Indonesian cookbook filled with photos recipes and ingredients and it really made me want to get on to a plane and go and discover Indonesia. Now. Did you know that Indonesia is made up of over 17,500 islands, with just over 6,000 being inhabited? The main islands are Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and the Western part of New Guinea. I loved the travel photos, especially of the beautiful foods and loved the passion that oozed out of every single page.

There are lots of beautiful delicious (and spicy) recipes and was intrigued by the bumbu spices which are in so many recipes and yet I had never heard of before. I love finding out and learning new techniques, ingredients and ways to improve my cooking. Indeed Ketjap manis is now such a firm favourite that it gets put into many dishes - however unauthentic it may be some. It is a lovely sauce and because of the sweet salty nature of it, it brings many dishes alive. The wonderful thing about the bumbu is how when you first cook them the aromas fill the air and start to stimulate your taste buds and building the excitement.

Everything I have cooked from this book has worked out beautifully, the recipes are well written, easy to follow and moreover exciting and delicious to eat. The nasi goreng is a firm favourite now in this house - especially on meat free Mondays. I love how all leftover vegetables can be thrown into this dish and it always turns out perfectly. Aside from the taste the best thing is that it saves food waste and keeps your shopping costs lower. I am a leftovers queen so this really sang out to me.

Another really great thing is how Eleanor suggests what to cook with what dishes to make an entire meal. This is especially important when you are unsure of a cuisine or just learning about it, it is invaluable. It does make it so much more exciting

Once I started reading this book I just could not put it down. I have earmarked so many recipes and learnt so much from it. I am now seeking out Eleanors other book and meanwhile am loving cooking from this book. Buy it, you really won't be sorry.

It's one of my favourite cookbooks and I recommend it to everyone who likes Asian cooking

I bought this book as it was featured in Delicious Magazine. Oh boy what a find! I have quite an obsession for cookery books, being the proud owner of well over 300 now. And yes, I do try and time my Amazon deliveries for when my husband is at work! No darling, Ive had that book for ages! I am SO excited about this book. Its brilliant! I have just spent the last 2 hours of my daughter's gymnastics training reading and salivating all of the AMAZING recipes in the book. Thankfully said daughter didnt notice so I got away with that one! I have to honestly say that I want to cook every single recipe in the book. They are utterly mouth watering. I cant wait forthe children to go back to school next week so that I can throw myself full on into cooking these fabulous dishes! Thank you so much Eleanor Ford - you are simply brilliant and you have brightened up my kitchen! One of the best books I have seen!

Returning to North America after living in the Asia Pacific area for a decade, I was devastated by how 'fast food' and un-fresh much of the Asian cuisine is here. This book has been my savior and has so many sticky notes and dog-eared pages from use already.

Every recipe I've made has been amazing. And the layout, photos, and organization are beautiful. From quick meals to elaborate dinner parties, it's all in here. Worth every penny.

I can only give 4 stars to date as I have only browsed the book before gifting . It looks beautiful on the outside , the paper used is not of a particularly great quality I have to say , but the taste is in the eating as they say !
I'm pretty sure you would have to source many ingredients to cook these recipes and unless you cook Thai regularly I'm thinking this could be an issue for some.
Arrived in great condition .

Wonderful recipes. Cooked many and yet to find a duff one. The chicken saté is better than any I have cooked out of Thai cookbooks. The nasi goreng and chicken in coconut milk were also highlights. Kecap manis is surely one of these magic ingredients we have all been missing out on! Only thing I would improve is having photos with each recipe.

I was so excited to receive this book, I had flicked through a friends copy and had to have it!
The recipes are absolutely delicious.
Everything explained so well, from how to source, prep and cook.
Ingredients easy to source and recommended substitutes for products that can’t be found in this country.
Written with love and a pure passion for food and Indonesia.
Lovely photos and so nice to see Elenor Ford and her family appear in the book.
I know what everyone will be getting for Christmas this year.
The beautiful cover stands out from the other cook books on the shelf.
I can’t recommend enough and look forward to Elenor’s next cook book and fascinating adventures.

I have spent the last 10 years living in Indonesia. The recipes are refined versions of many everyday favourites. I really enjoyed the stories and background and the many beautiful photos. I’m a keen home cook and have enjoyed cooking all of the recipes in the book
