Now in Eighth Tower’s newest anthology, we see ten before unpublished Yog-Sothoth tales written by some of modern Weird Fiction’s best writers. From a tale of a man in a midlife crisis, to a brilliantly clever piece on a French revolutionary, we are overcome by this new Lovecraftian darkness, and in that darkness, we are invited to go deeper into the void. Come and see the collector of magical objects who finds something not expected and then meet the woman in mourning over the death of her twin who quickly discovers that her dead sister had some very occult hobbies. Visit two lovers in crisis haunted by the ghost of an ex-girlfriend or follow a team of paranormal researchers in 1970s Britain who get far, far more than they bargained for. Finally meet the other denizens of this Lovecraftian tome: a denizen of Massachusetts known by his moniker The Nameless One who is hellishly bent on bringing ultimate evil through to this reality. Then try the story of a rock band on the verge of something unexpected. Or if music with a Scottish sound is more your taste, read the tale of a bagpipe player who meets a beautiful creature from his dreams, only to found that dream is in fact a nightmare. And finally enjoy a retelling of the classic Sherlock Holmes tale where Count Dracula makes an appearance. In all these tales, our protagonists are confronted with the unimaginable reality of Yog-Sothoth and are thus driven mad, or worse. Join us in this new collection if you dare where we explore the terrifying and nihilistic, the absurdly and horribly humorous, and where again and again, our protagonists find that death might not be the worst thing waiting for us all.

Some land should never be built upon
Called to a newly-built low-rise block of flats on a Cornwall housing estate, plumber Paul Cannon finds more than a blocked toilet to contend with. Teaming up with a pair of local police officers, Paul's humdrum existence is turned upside down as something old and hideous stirs in the foundations. The tenants are vanishing, the nosy-neighbour is in uproar and there is something definitely wrong with the pipes.
Uncovering a nightmare that stretches into the town's distant, and often murky past, it's up to a rag-tag assortment of local characters to ensure that what lurks in the walls of that cursed building ver makes it to the outside world.
In the depth of the North Sea lies the fabled Doggerland. An ancient world of mysterious people and creatures. A green and verdant land destined to be flooded and destroyed, all but forgotten. What actually happened to the people of Doggerland? Was there some great ancient evil bent on destroying the world dreaming below the surface waiting to emerge?
--
Fifteen Lovecraftian authors explore the world known only as Doggerland and the cosmic horror destined to destroy paradise. Book one in the North Sea Trilogy
This unsettling anthology takes a look inside the secret vault of history's most infamous occultist. Within these pages you will discover an array of mystical items, enchanted totems, cursed creations, arcane objects, and otherwise diabolical doodads--each with its own unique provenance and history. Focusing on crafting dark and atmospheric tales that terrify and tantalizes the senses, these handpicked authors have produced something that is as unsettling as it is outright frightening.
Enter the Vault through these cursed words, these dangerous tales... if you dare.
Mythic tales, legends and lore are part of every human culture. From the quests of Greek myth, to China's Journey to the West, from India's Mahabharata to the Anglo-Saxon Beowulf, our histories resound with the clang of swords, and the struggle of heroes and heroines against dark forces and foul sorcery.
In the 20th century, Robert E Howard, among others, pioneered modern mythologies which have become known as Sword and Sorcery. This anthology continues that tradition, with eleven new sizzling S&S tales from the pens of the Innsmouth Writing Circle.
The yarns within feature a cast of lucky thieves, avenging barbarians, bold swordswomen, and temple plunderers, not to mention sorcerers, necromancers, priests and a range of horrors that would freeze the blood of all but the bravest warrior.
So don your chain mail shirt, hoist high your battle-axe, let loose a war cry, and join us in the days of High Adventure....
