I wasn't certain about the first book but got the second because it was cheap and I'm always, always looking for something to read plus, this was a way of saving the last book in a series that I've been dying to read for ages. If you get what I mean - a bit of a distraction while I cleared my head.
Anyhoo... I thought the story was a bit slow and the characters not fully developed until I read the second book which had improved enormously. The dialogue is still clunky and the characters are a bit too Tolkien-y for my taste, but the plot moved on apace rather well. I particularly liked Will and, oddly, Killian, because I have a fondness for more complex protagonists.
My feeling is that if the author continues to improve at this rate (and edits some of the dialogue, gives the characters a more 3D feel), then the 3rd book is something worth waiting for and I'm looking forward to it.

I couldn't put this book down. It kept me waiting with real excitement for the next page to see how the story unfolded. The main character of the story keeper Will who was searching for his sister, took me from one escapade to another. I have now read two of the series and can't wait to read the 3rd book. If its as good as the other two I am in for a fantastic read. Please try it .

I enjoyed both the Keeper Chronicles very much -the two books have shared characters as well as some only appearing in one but almost self contained. There is a feeling of David Eddings (eg magic takes its toll on the caster) but also for me echoes of Weis and Hickmans Dragaonlance chronicles in terms of the character and characteristics of the various characters. Really enjoyed and look forward to the third/last in the series

I am an avid reader n love a series with great characters n solid p!ots. Now I have to wait to wait n see, if Ayda can be brought back to life, will Sora n will marry, will Rass turn up again, and what's going to happen when Luna turns up with the dragon. Please hurry, I really can't wait. Oh loved the books by the wT, in case you were wondering.
