Fabulous recipes from the winner of Masterchef. If you like Malaysian food you will enjoy these recipes. Written from the heart with a very family recipe feel this book is a good read and the photos wonderful which make each recipe so appealing. I have never had Malaysian food before watching Ping cook her way to victory on Masterchef but after watching John Torrode explore Malaysia in the his series and realising Ping had written this book I thought it was worth a try and both myself, my family and my friends have been overwhelmed with the results. Simple recipes with easily obtained ingredients and a delight to eat. Thank you Ping for such an inspirational book.

I adore Malaysian food coming from a country where it is very popular and thought I would like to be able to cook more recipes myself here in the UK The book is lovely, especially just to read, but I find it difficult to get all the ingredients. I think it would be easier if I lived in London or a big city but I'm in a village near a small town and there just isn't access to a wide range of ethnic ingredients. I occasionally order online but I'd like it if the book gave ideas about alternatives that could be used.

I grew up in "Malaya" (as it was then), and revisited in 1989. This book brings back the flavours and smells which i still love. The best food in the world.

Malay cooking has so many diverse influences that most books available over there only cover one aspect. This one is brilliant because it covers all the most popular dishes regardless of origin. Delicious and simple.
