Having read previous releases by this author, I had high expectations for 'The Ex-Husband.' Samantha Hayes has the skill to engage her readers from start to finish, and this latest release is no exception. This was everything I was hoping it would be and much more.

With a captivating, shocking beginning, through to the dark, tense conclusion, this is a great read for psychological thriller fans. Filled with powerful and dramatic scenes, this twisted storyline is very impressive and became a quick read for me, as I struggled to put it down!

Superb characters, created with depth, and realism, this may be an unpopular opinion, but my favourite of all of them has to be Craig. I enjoyed being able to scrutinise his personality and character as he exhibits more disturbing behaviours than most, he became the character that I simply loved to hate. All characters are extremely well written, adding to the appeal and entertaining element of this read.

I recommend this to all fans of this genre, and if this author is new to you - you are in for a treat!

I won’t be upgrading this book to include audio if that’s what anyone is thinking. too many names, too much ‘he said’ ‘she said’ and why is it always a detective inspector and nothing lower down? This has series written all over it. Not sure if it is though, not even about to find out either.

Couldn't put it down. A fantastic read. Characters genuine. Got a little repetitive with someone gripping or falling or stumbling. A tad of a predictable ending. However kept me interested enough to get another of their books.
