Perché lui vuole così, perché lui è così. Ha voluto sapere tutto di me, mi ha chiesto un elenco di tutte le cose che considero essenziali per la mia vita. Dicono che quest'uomo, dai capelli di un biondo indefinito e dall'aspetto poco appariscente, con gli occhi di un azzurro chiaro e luminoso, sia un architetto eccezionale perché non cede a nessuna tentazione.

Tuttavia, la casa è già stata abitata, una volta. Da una ragazza della mia stessa età, quasi una mia gemella, mi hanno detto. Anche lei, come me, non insensibile al fascino di quest'uomo.
